Name of Training:  Peer Education – For us by us , leadership in HIV prevention. 

Date: May 13, 2006

Location: Pan American Social Marketing Organization (PASMO)

            9 Princess Margaret Drive

            Belize City 

Objective:   To train educators to work with the LGBT communities in Belize for the prevention of HIV/AIDS through Behavioural Change Communication methodologies. 

Participants: 13 

Facilitators:  Caleb Orozco and Elisa Castellanos 

Collaboration:  PASMO and UNIBAM 

Topics covered: HIV/AIDS, Condom negotiation skills, Behavioural Change Communications, Effective Communication, Male anatomy, Anal Cleansing and Hygiene, Stigma and Discrimination, Confidentiality. 

Participants from this training will be working with PASMO to implement activities using the methodologies learnt to reach at risk populations.
