About Q|Belize
Q|Belize was launched on the 2nd of May, 2006. This website was launched with the intention of aiding in creating unity among Belize's LGBT Community. We provide the latest available information on events, workshops, and news that affect the LGBT Community. We also provide information on Health, with the hope of promoting safe sex so as to prevent the spread of sexually transmitted diseases and infections. We also offer a chat room, a message forum, online polls, and blogs by where LGBT can interact with each other, and possibly create new friendships. This website currently functions independently, and is run by people who voluntarily give of their time, resources, and finances to make this site possible. These people make up the Q|Belize Committee. We do get assistance from local organizations and other individuals where information is concerned. We work along with local organizations that either deal directly with LGBT or deal with issues that affect LGBT but we are not attached to any one particular organization. The objective of this site is NOT to gain profit.

This is a timeline of events that have occurred in the brief history of Q|Belize: May 25, 2006- Q|Belize launches new webpage: About Q|Belize May 23, 2006 - Today, Q|Belize tallied a grand total of 600+ visitors since its launch on May 2, 2006. - Homepage relaunched with fresh new look, other pages to follow suite. Q|Belize also announced the addition of new pages coming soon. May 15, 2006- Q|Belize launches new webpage: LGBT Global May 9, 2006- The 4-member Q|Belize Committee was officially established to oversee website operations. May 8, 2006- Q|Belize tallies over 300 visitors in its debut week. May 2, 2006- Q|Belize officially launches with a total of eight (8) webpages. Site received over 70 hits during its first day. April 20, 2006- The Q|Bz Blog Team was formed with 4 members. Team to write articles based on LGBT-related issues, concerns, and struggles in Belize. April 16, 2006- Work on website commenced; Logos for Q|Belize created; and Website address established. April 14, 2006- The name Q|Belize established as the official name of the new website for Belize's LGBT Community, with Q|Bz being the secondary name and be used as the website domain name. April 9, 2006- The concept of a website for the LGBT Community in Belize was developed.
